Resale Roundup #1
Here's the best of what I found on resale last week.
If I had to guess, I would assume that at least 75% of my screen time comes from browsing on secondhand and resale shopping platforms. I know there’s probably a way to actually check and confirm that number, but I’ve got other things to do, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.
Evan and I were talking the other night about how we both especially love resale/vintage shopping when we’re feeling stressed out (aw, cute), and I think it’s because, to me at least, something about it feels like solving a puzzle. A random keyword or phrase will pop into my head (e.g. “sculptural tank top” or “handmade crochet” or “kermit the frog green”) and I won’t stop until I’ve found a handful of suitable options that perfectly capture the vision I have in my head. I love the thrill of the hunt of it all—it’s so much more fun to me than scrolling through the “new arrivals” section on any old eComm site.
Unfortunately, if I were to buy everything I stumbled across and loved, I would be in immense debt. I also just don’t need that much stuff—no one does! But, something else I’ve realized over the years is that not everyone enjoys resale/vintage shopping and as much as I do. In fact, I think a lot of people might actually hate it. For all the reasons it brings me joy, I know it can also be overwhelming for people who either don’t know where to start, or lack the patience to spend hours sifting through.
My dear friend Hannah is one of these people, which is why when she wanted a pair of vintage kitten heels a couple of weeks ago, she turned to me to find her some options. However, I don’t think she was prepared for an endless stream of links for the 45 minutes that followed. Sorry, Hannah!

All this is to say, I’ve decided to create a place to share the things I find with you all, in the hopes that maybe I’ve stumbled across something you love or that has long been on your wishlist. Also, so that I can fight my own impulses to buy them.
With that, here’s my roundup of some of the best things I found this week. I’m still getting the hang of this, so bare with me as I fine tune the formatting. Really fighting with my perfectionist brain on this one.
Everything linked below, and full roundup can be found here.
Shoes!
Starting off with some shoes that caught my eye.
Two pairs of insane vintage Manolo Blahnik sandals, both for $50 or less?? These blue ones ($50) (giving you first dibs but if no one buys I’m getting them), and this classic gold pair ($42) that will go with just about anything.

More fun summer sandals include this fun pink pair ($32) and these red ones ($25), either of which would add a pop of color to a simple summer outfit. These red flip flops are $10 and are the perfect beach shoe. And of course, two black pairs that you’ll wear all summer long—here ($39) and here ($35).
Tops!
Summer is when I rely heavily on a fun top. When it’s hot, I want to wear as little as possible, so it’s important to me that the pieces I do wear hold their own. My definition of a “fun top” is still pretty simple by most standards… but with an interesting or unique detail. I don’t wear a ton of color or patterns, so I rely more on things like texture and silhouette to bring that element interest to my clothes.
Nothing screams summer more than a white linen or cotton top. I love this button down with the eyelet detail ($20), and this handmade backless tank ($40) would be perfect for a night out. I also love a statement collar—this peter pan long sleeve ($20) would look great with a pair of shorts and you could wear this ruffle number ($20) dressed up or down.
When in doubt, I find that searching the keywords “sheer” “asymmetrical” or “sculptural” always return fruitful results. I’ve been eyeing this silk Dries Van Noten tank ($45) for a bit, and I think this purple one ($20) would look great styled slightly off shoulder. I love the hem details on both this black tunic ($42) and this red silk tank ($80), and the necklines on this Vivienne Tam ($45) and this Anine Bing ($62). This white Lanvin top ($48) would be a great way to upgrade your summer office attire, and I love this silk Kenzo halter ($60) with the subtle blue polka dots. Throwing this fun crochet number ($25) into the mix because, why not! I would totally wear this for a night out in the city, or as a beach cover up.
Bottoms!
This summer, I’ve been reaching for a skirt more than I have in the past. Something feels really effortless and easy about throwing on a skirt with a simple tee or a tank, but it also makes me feel feminine and put together in a way that shorts don’t. I love this bubble hem Geel mini ($32), this flowy accordion pleated one ($29), and this striped mini ($35) with a black tank and a kitten heel would be the perfect summer weekend look. This pinstripe midi with the asymmetrical buttons ($10) is so cool and would be cool for my office girls.
It’s so hot out in New York that I haven’t really been looking for pants, but these straight leg trousers with an elastic waist ($60) came across my desk and they were too good not to include.
Dresses!
Last but certainly not least, here are some of the standout dresses of the week.
This vintage off-shoulder Cache dress ($265)!!!!! I want to wear it so bad!!!! Someone else buy it, and then let me BARO it please.
Other dresses of the week include this white Italian linen dress ($98) with the button detailing around the collar—I would potentially have it shortened to make it more of a mini. This linen babydoll dress ($68) is also great, and so easy to throw on on the days you don’t want to have to think about what to wear. I’ve been eyeing this silk mini with the sheer drop waist ($30) as a potential option for a wedding getting ready look. Either this sheer purple PRISCAVera ($110) or this asymmetrical Simkhai ($110) would be great for vacation, and I love the shade of blue of this vintage 80s slip ($75).
That’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed perusing my finds as much as I enjoyed finding them. More soon!
xoxo
Allie
